Sunday, August 2: Russell nominates Ronnie and Lydia for eviction.
Tuesday, August 4: Michele wins POV once again, but keeps the nominations the same.
Thursday, August 6 (DAY 33): Russell, the current HOH, tries to form a relationship with Michele. During a conversation between the two in the HOH room, Russell tells Michele that Jessie, Chima, and Natalie are upset with him because he put up Ronnie for eviction. Michele then tells Russell that, "it didn't change anything; they all wanted you out anyways -- most of them." Michele said Chima was part of the group that wanted Russell out, which surprised him. In Week 2, when Ronnie was HOH, Chima did say that keeping Russell in the house would be a mistake and that he should be backdoored. Michele also told Russell that Chima told her not to talk to Russell because Chima thought he was a liar.
However, when Russell asked Jessie about all of this, Jessie told Russell that Chima has never once said anything about backdooring Russell in Jessie's presence. This is technically not true because Jessie was in on the July 21 meeting when Ronnie was considering backdooring Russell, and Chima was definitely a strong proponent of doing so. Later, Russell has Natalie tell Chima to meet him in the HOH room, but Natalie warns Chima to "play nice" with Russell for now even though in the long run, they do want Russell out of the house. Chima denies Michele's accusations and then brings Michele up to the HOH room to sort it all out. Michele is asked if she said that Chima wants to win HOH so she can backdoor Russell, and Michele denies saying that. Technically, this was true because, as far as the TV edits have shown us, Chima only talked about backdooring Russell during week 2, not that she would do it in the future. Michele's denials set Russell off and a huge confrontation escalates between Russell and Chima. Chima then decides that she would get Russell evicted if she had the chance.
Jeff finds out that he has been chosen by America to receive the power of Coup d'Etat, which allows him to overthrow the Head of Household at the eviction ceremonies of either August 6 or August 13 and replace one or both of the HOH's nominees with his own choices. However, the HOH himself and the winner of the POV are exempt from being put up as replacement nominees.
At the eviction ceremony, Ronnie uses his opportunity to make his plea to the House Guests to blast Michele. This is what he said: "...And on a final note, my wife has told me you always have to try and see the good in everyone. There's so much good in all of you except for you, Michele. You honestly, through your actions in this game, I have come to believe you are quite possibly, and you know I wanted to say some very truthful things, but I'm going to be nice, and just simply say you are the worst human being I have ever had the misfortune of meeting and I absolutely feel sorry for you."
The house evicts Ronnie, 4 to 3. Votes to evict Ronnie came from Kevin, Michele, Jeff, and Jordan. Votes to evict Lydia were from Natalie, Chima, and Jessie. At the Head of Household competition, a true-false quiz entitled "Say What?" regarding messages from viewers played over the house PA system, Chima is the last one standing and becomes HOH.
